Overview of the Initiative

The “Labaih” Initiative, championed by the Federal Tax Authority (“FTA”), is a core pillar of the UAE’s efforts to foster and continuously support UAE communities, and specifically to enhance the ease of access for senior citizens to FTA services. The Initiative further empowers senior citizens and supports their inclusion in the ongoing journey of sustainable development.

Specifically, the Initiative provides a tailored and simplified process for availing tax services for senior citizens who may otherwise face challenges in applying the accurate tax procedures. It offers dedicated support, guidance and facilitation measures, thereby contributing to their independence and overall well-being.

Simplify procedures and provide exclusive services, including comprehensive and easy-to-understand tax guidance.
Roll out and conduct dedicated awareness campaigns to increase tax literacy among senior citizens, empowering them to confidently engage with the FTA and other government stakeholders.
